Hi

How about making her a card, perhaps with a poem you've written yourself inside. You could download or record the most meaningful songs in your relationship and compile them together into a greatest hits CD. This gift will take a little thinking to gather the songs, but only seconds to burn to a CD.

If that doesn't appeal why not cook her her favourite meal, with table set, candles etc.

The film Valentine's Day 2010, starring Julia Roberts is due for release on 12th Feb, might be worth a try but is bound to be more of a chick flick. See a preview http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0817230/

Hope the suggestions help.

What about going for a walk, it does not have to be flowers and chocolates!! I think we have become consumer driven rather than being practicle in some respects.
I am fixing my wife's bicycle so she can start riding and loosing those pounds she put on over Christmas!

couple of ideas, bake her a cake, ice a heart shaped cookie with a personal message

or a pregnancy/baby journal to your unborn child with the first message to the baby coming from you stating how much you love baby's mummy etc etc

You can get specifically designed ones with first smile, first tooth etc ones for during pregnancy with week by week info or just a nice handcrafted book blank for your own thoughts wishes and memories

I know, I'm a softee!!!!

I will be trying the flowers - i think thats just standard anyway !

i also think im going to make her something but still unsure as to what, im trying to keep the budget down as her birthday is just before so the 2 together could become really expensive ! i had thought about joining them together but thats not going to go down well ... not that she's expecting too much anyway !

thanks for the ideas, i will let you know if i use any of them πŸ™‚ cheers dadtalkers !
