Hooray, cars are now treated like washing machines and houses!!
From Nov 2012 they get their own label to help punters buy them.
I quickly found a site with the info summarised on one page

I wonder if this will affect the price of tyres?

I can see it now... staff move them to the front of the shelf so we see the labels and say "give me those with the double A rating!"

I wouldn't worry too much - Disney also own Marvel films and haven't done too badly respecting the subject matter on the hero movies recently.

The first three were amazing films and for people my age were amongst the greatest films ever made - the second three were spectacular in terms of the production and the fact that the bought the story of Anakin Skywalker alive
I am not sure what they would do with the next films

Although I am sure that Lucas had originally intended 9 films

I will go to see them - regardless!

I'd heard a long time ago that there were nine books, but didn't think they were going to be made into films. Now it looks as they will, but whether the news that once those are made, they are going to make a further film every couple of years is good news, I'm not so sure.

That is incredible but in some ways a shame - as no one individual should have to fund an education system.

However that is a great gesture

okay, more geek news which I 'tripped over' while perusing the local Metro paper dated 1st Nov (page 53 to be precise).
I think every member on Dad info would have some reaction to this book by Tom Hickman.
The article briefly touched the topic of [censored]!!
The article says tings like:
... historical facts and figures...
... if there were anything you ever wanted to know about penises, it'll probably be in here...
... 'average' length ...
... 200 page book of [censored] trivia...
... Hickman never once exposes himself...

I found the book on the publisher's website God's Doodle: the life and times of the [censored]

well, i guess they wanted it to be in the shops for Christmas. So maybe the marketing plan is for old grannies to prank their middle aged sons. πŸ™‚

I was in Florida when the Phantom menace came out so we went to see it in the first week - I was so excited to go and see the latest instalment of the greatest films of all time.

Imagine how disappointed I was - at least they redeemed themselves with the second two!

Ooops, clicked on thank you by mistake (although I'm sure you deserve it!)

I saw the first screening I could on it's release day. Local tv and radio crews interviewed people as they came out, when it finished. Lucky for them, they didn't ask me what I thought. I took my son to see the 3D release, back in Easter, as it was an ideal opportunity to introduce him to the live action films, in episodic order. The 3D version was just awful πŸ™
