This illustrates what we are all up against...I think its a shocking inditement on our society that fathers/men have been so marginalized!
From the moment of birth a fathers role is squeezed and pushed to the background. 😡 😡 😡
Heres the press release from The Centre for Social Justice that the news report was taken from....
www.centreforsocialjustice.org.uk/UserStorage/pdf/Press%20releases%202013/CSJ-Press-Release-Lone-Parents.pdf
It is sad that half of the children born today will not see their parents together by the time they are 16
Its sad indictment of the lack of legal aid...and of the mothers who prime children 🙁
that's why I am all for fathers pressing their right for contact and why I set up my web page to help those who might struggle with forms and statements, whilst I am charging, its not anywhere near the cost of a solicitor!!
Here is another very said headline
http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/legal-aid-cuts-put-a-generation-of-children-in-danger-8640801.html
...its been a pretty gloomy day on the news front today 🙁
What surprised me is that meaningful contact was described as twice or more per year - they obviously have a different definition of meaningful to the one I would have given.
