[Solved] Durex ad - Negative view of men and fatherhood ?

Have you seen the new ad for Durex? Check it out here.

What do you think about how it portrays fatherhood and men in general? Do you think it shouldn't be taken seriously or is it in poor taste and misrepresents men and family life?

I suppose the problem with advertising durex is that if you make the message factual and boring, no-one would take any notice and it would be an expensive flop  In a way, it's no more than a 30 second comedy sketch.

Ultimately, it's getting a message across - I don't think anyone seriously thinks that fatherhood is like that all in one go (though a lot of it may happen over years - we had a laptop in yesterday that wouldn't work, when it was opened, the battery was wet - the owner thinks her niece took it out of her back and washed it, before putting it back.)

Also, if it gets the message across to reduce unwanted pregnancy and STI, then it's a good thing. I don't think it will put off genuine fathers.
