i hate em. know everything about them but hate em.
its a money pit. all my spare cash has to go on something with the car, front brakes this month then onto next month which is car tax lol
i dont want dec to come
know the feeling, just had fuel injection sorted (£1k) and a clutch (another £1k) this year. 😥
Previouslt had a Micra for about 5 years - did 100k miles, serviced twice plus a couple of oil changes and apart from a new cyclinder head early on (bad setting on lpg conversion, but money saved easily paid for repair) it never needed any repairs, cost peanuts to run - even tyres lasted arounf 50k miles and cost about £40 each - good car for cheap runabout.
ive got a pug 106 that i use just for running back and forth to work which is a 50 mile round trip a day and it goes for its mot on sat just hoping that it passes ok as really cant afford any repairs as haver had to tax the mrs volvo today at 112 for 6 months
That remind me my car tax is due - another £87.50 towards the upkeep of our roads!!!
Peugeot just had to have new brakes front and back - had to have "special" parts...ker-ching!! That will be £700 please.
Bring back horse and cart - I can afford some hay!
I'm sure these posts should be in "a place to rant" thread 😀
She who must be obeyed has just handed her company car back, so we are now a 1 car family for the first time in about 10 years. We are reliant on my 8 year old focus (with 120,000 miles on the clock) though to be fair it has never had too many problems (yet). Next week im taking the bus to work for the first time in about 20 years - should be fun. 😮
Gooner
Our Megane Grand Scenic (54) has been pretty good since we got it. So good for a family, with the optional 2 extra seats if you need them.
last December I traded in my 10 year old Golf 1.9 TDI, for a tiny tiny Brand new Fiat 500 1.2 sport(?!!!!) white with bigger alloys and an Italian racing stripe down the side.
It is a great little car with all the toys, pretty nippy too for a 1.2, but overtaking is not quite what it used to be 😆
I use it just for work, which is about 17 miles away from home. I must admit, I really miss the Golf sometimes (maily cos all the lads take the p1ss!), but this does only cost me £35 a year tax!
i had 2 fiat 500s
the convertable. and i also had a abarth for a few days as the other one was being repaired.
i loved it, but they not to good over speed humps but other than that they great. cheap tax and mpg was wicked. convertable was diesel and did like 70mpg
they are riddled with issues but fiat are pretty good sorting them,
