Hi Folks
I bought an ipod through Amazon from an online retailer, and paid by credit card.. This was done on 24th June and the email confirmation stated an estimated delivery date 9th July. However, it still has not arrived.
I sent an email to the retailer (via Amazon website) on 10th July asking the reason for not receiving it, and I received a reply from them requesting that I wait for another week before they inquire with royal mail, since they confirm they have certification of posting it.
Is there anything I can do for the meantime? Can I claim any sort of compensation?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
sadly, there's not a great deal you can do, as it's probably the post offices fault for the delay, and they say you have to wait 15 working days before claiming compensation, and even then it's only for the price of the item up to a certain value, and not for loss because of the delay.
You will be protected because you paid for it by credit card and therefore should be able to dispute the transaction especially as they wont be able to provide a delivery signature.
It is a pain but you will be able to get your money back
I ordered a cd through Play and it didn't arrive, I had to wait 28 days before they would do anything but I did get my refund.
Hope you get it sorted.
