Some exciting changes are happening on DadTalk over the next few months.......
As part of the upgrades and changes to the site we will be adding daily Dadblogs - a different blogger for each day of the week, blogging regularly once a week, every week.
We already have some bloggers but are looking for two more bloggers for the site........
Think your life or circumstance may be of interest to DadTalkers ? If so pm me with your details.

I'm very comfortable with forums, but have never actually used a blog, or even seen one. What, exactly, do they do?
Good question actd,
a blog (short for web log) is an ongoing diary or commentary by an individual. Normally on a daily basis writing about things that people may find of interest. I guess in newspaper terms it would be a columnist.
Dadtalk are going to run on the main site 5 blogs, each posting on a weekday just once a week. so for example Monday would be the Dadtalk Blog, Tuesday the technology blog, Wednesday the new dad blog .......etc these are just off the top of my head btw and not what the final blogs will be about.
The whole idea is to get a varied and interesting view of life or a subject that dads might find interesting and helpful.
Gooner :ugeek:
Probably rules me out then. When my life was hectic, it wasn't publishable, and now things are quiet, would make for boring reading. π
That's a shame I would love to read about life through actd's eyes π

haha. I remember a long time ago, when I was changing jobs, my old boss said (in my leaving speech) that she hoped that my life would quieten down as I'd been through a particularly hectic time. Thought afterwards that, although I knew she had meant the comment genuinely, that I actually enjoyed the hectic bursts in my life. And everytime something 'dramatic' happens, I think 'that's about as mad as it can get' and then the next time, something surpasses it. Hopefully now, I'm getting to the stage of life where it's got to get easier π
I have a blog over at http://www.rivaoni.wordpress.com and also write in a gaming sense on http://www.bitparade.co.uk (under the name Duane). I'd be willing to try contributing to here once a week too if you think my writing is of a high enough standard.
I think the best thing I can offer is a weekly entertainment media blog, talking about the latest games and films and try and give advice on what is suitable for what age range.
I have to say that I have only ever used the forum on Dadtalk (and worryingly, have just discovered that I'm the top poster by a large margin, and only been on her for about 10 months - I really ought to get a life), but tonight, I just had a look around and discovered the blogs. Thursday's blog (courtesy of Tim S) caught my eye, and I worked my way through - though 'worked' is the wrong word - after the first entry, I was captivated and read the rest laughing my head off. I must now make time to read the blogs for the other days of the week. Well worth a read. π
Hi Actd,
Yup you are currently in top spot for posts - though I am slowly catching up π
Glad you like the Blogs - I think they have turned out rather well, our bloggers are excellent writers and I can't recommend them highly enough. Check out the Dad Blogs here.

You'll never catch me - haahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaaaaaaaaaa...........
