Not in my house - I cook Xmas dinner!!!
She does pack alot in for one day.
But she still looks good after it.
Hmmmmm
wonder what the feminist groups would say about it if they did an advert showing the Dad's who do Christmas? or stereo typical working man going to work to earn money to give his wife to do the weekly shop?
before any mum starts to claim i'm a sexist pig....i am not...i'm an equal 50/50 type of person i'm more than happy to do the cooking, cleaning present wrapping dineer cooking etc....
😆 we could always ask them mumsnet feminists love a good debate 😆
Or for a similar reaction you could go and hit a bees nest with a stick :silly: :silly: :silly:
😀
OOOOMMMMMGGGGGG!!!!! 😆 😆 😆
I cant believe there is already five pages of discussion on the sexism angle...you're right they need to get a life, or a good seeing to (Oops! thats a sexist comment isnt it! :woohoo: ) Only joking!!!
Not sure you boys are looking for a debate - more like a fight!!!
I'll be the one at the edge holding your coat - I am too old and wise not to pick a fight I can't win!!
I must be in the wrong family - I cooked for 11 people at my house last year, giving my dad a well deserved break from cooking Christmas dinner for once!
Has anyone seen the Argos one? "Keep calm Dad and shop at Argos". Don't tell my wife - I sorted her stuff and my family (mostly local and we'll see on the day) out the other week - I still keep prompting her what she's doing for hers (most of which will need to be posted or left with other family members to transport around the country).
Her usual response so far?
"[censored]! Yes, I'll do that tonight"
My wife has to write out half a dozen labels - I have wrapped the presents and written all the cards
I bet the pile will still be there on Xmas eve!!!
Will let you know!
About an hour after I posted that I asked "have you sorted out your family yet?"
"Oh.... No..... I'll do it tomorrow"
I'll be ready to report back....
I'm awful at christmas,
I'm not the bigest fan (but by no means a grinch) My wife loves christmas though and gets excited around the middle of November, so starts buying up gifts for my family and hers.
We still haven't wrapped them yet though and becuase we had a sleep over for my step son on Saturday for his birthday we haven't even put up the tree (i've been told that's a job for this evening)
as for christmas dinner, we split the cooking, we normally prep the veg together, then I cook the meat whilst she cooks the veg and a nut roast if she remembers as she doesn't eat meat.
