Hi people!

I was chatting to my friend today, who seemed to be baffled at the fact that I eat marmalade on my toast for breakfast. It just made me wonder whether I am too old for it and whether anyone still eats it?

Thanks, looking forward to the posts :p

I have been known to eat it occasionally but as a rule I eat this white/chocolate spread - sad I know!!

But it is delicious on walnut bread (if a little fattening!)

I love toast and marmalade! And marmalade sandwiches too.... I would say its the older generation that have marmalade on their toast for breakfast...when I worked in the hospital and would serve breakfast to the patients, it was the older ones that enjoyed marmalade, the youngsters would go for jam!

Walnut bread is delicious...I dont know about the chocolate spread though!

I'd agree - I think marmalade is a taste you aquire as you get older (though I haven't yet) along with olives and sprouts.

Marmalade is fantastic on toast - who cares what others think, drive your own furrow!

Also - marmite and swiss cheese on toast is v good, referred to as 'super toast' in our house.

Own furrow!!

I spread Clippy's Marmachilli on my toast and croissants in the morning. It's marmalade with a chilli kick to it...It tastes amazing! I think you can buy it from Morrisons and Ocado. I bought it when it was on offer for a £1 to test and absolutely love it. Ever since, I always buy it!

Has anyone tried it?

Not tried that - I think Chili is now being added to more and more stuff. I think it's the new black 😀

Haha! Yeah I think 'Chilli' is added to a lot of things these days! However, I didn't think I'd like marmalade with chilli..But i was surprised just how tasty and filling it is. This is one 'chilli' add-on I definitely enjoy!
