Hey all,

Hope your all well and looking forward to the weekend. My little girl is one in 19 DAYS 😮

My wife and I are unsure of what to get her as a gift, she got so much a Xmas we are a little lost. My wife suggested a piece of jewellery so we are contemplating getting an adult charm braclet and adding a charm to it each year and then giving it to her as an 18th birthday present. Along with the photo of her on her first birthday wearing it! 😉

But I think for her it will be rather dull and not much fun! so what did you guys get your little ones for their first birthdays?

Thanks

rorodadda

Hi

Hmm, it was so long ago (my kids are 17 and 21) that I can't actually remember off the top of my head (have to have a think and come back to you). 🙂

Interesting about the charm bracelet though. My daughter is 18 in 20 days time and we have just purchased her a charm bracelet and added three charms to start her off! Great minds think alike!

Thanks for the reply Mikey.

I think you've just helped me make up my mind - will commit to the charm braclet! Now just a fun toy......... Im so easily swayed...

Bet the last 18 years have gone in the blink of an eye! I dont want my little racal to grow up but at the same time cant wait to see she becomes.

That sounds good. Personally I would also buy 3 or 4 smaller fun toys. Too many gifts get lost on a 1 yr old. My kids normally preferred playing with the boxes and wrapping paper anyway.

Hope it goes well!

I remember our kids just loving the candle on the birthday cake at this age & eating the cake. The braclet sounds like a lovely idea. Hope it's a great day!

So very true, she likes nothing more than banging a wooden spoon on a cake tin. Her nan bought her a toy yesterday and she made a beline for the carrier bag it was in!

So should really buy her a blackberry, tv remote, anything with an electrical cable or that is remotley dangerous!!! 😆

Has she got a favourite teddy? If not then get her something for her from a tv show or something.

Both our kids has little dogs that they insisted came everywhere - remember leaving it in a washing machine in John Lewis!!!

Anyway hope she has a fab birthday and takes loads of photos - memories are precious!
