The feeling of pride that flows through my body when I look at my son, 12 going on 20. Clever, confident and an absolute gentleman he is the complete opposite of me at that age. Coming from a large well known family with a background of being able to look after ourselves it would seem me and my brothers have broken the mould with our own children. No longer told to use hands for power like we where it's all about using there brains for power. I'm not saying my father was bad he probably was dragged up too and that is all he would have known. But something's changed, I believe guys don't go to the pub everyday and see there kids a lot more and that surely can't be a bad thing. Dads go home after work, see the Mrs and kids and maybe go to the pub on a Saturday now. So us DADS deserve a high 5! Have a good New Year chaps

...just watching Japan see in the New Year and it occurred to me that the world is a very different place to the one I grew up in.... You're right....my children are so different in the way they parent, but I have been a much different parent to my own, god rest their adorable souls!

Wishing you a Great New Year!
