Just a quick first blog to see who's out there-anyone got any experience/tips/advice on the above SPD? My son has a mild case (he is very sensitive to noise, touch, visuals, smells,) so it affects such things as him walking barefoot on sand/grass, cinema and bowling are big no-nos, VERY picky taste buds, etc. As you can imagine he found a Reception classroom very challenging this year - many adults find them somewhat loud, bright, rough and tumble. We were lucky his experienced class teacher spotted it and we have had him diagnosed. Now we are investigating OT, sensory activities etc and I was wondering if any other dads had any experience in this field. Thank you.
Not come across this before, I can imagine it must be difficult to handle, especially in the modern world - is there a treatment for this?

It's great that his teacher spotted it and that the school will obviously be aware and able to support you.
