This blog will include thoughts, observations and insights by a 47 year old single dad whose wife of 14 years left for another man after a 3 day Facebook romance (ex from 20 years ago). Learning to single parent my two awesome sons whilst learning to cope with all of the facets of the bereavement process, trying to maintain my dignity and avoid fighting or begging, boring my friends to death or giving up.
Hope some of this will be interesting to some of you and maybe useful to me!
I truly believed my family was special and unlike others and that we would be together forever. There are some aspects of my behaviour I will discuss that have been factors in our marriage ending but I believe the main factor is a classic mid life crisis in the form of my wife attempting to destroy not only our relationship but hers with her own family and any old friends who refuse to buy her line that she hasn't left her kids but has only left me.
Hi,
I will look forward to reading this.
