When youre feeling weighed down by the injustice in this country towards dads, and when you feel constantly undermined by the system..

Remember that GOD is a FATHER, Not a Mother. HE is the pinnacle of all parents. And it is we who have been blessed with the privilege of being FATHERS too.

We are the protectors and we are the givers of life.

No one has the right to take that from us.

No surrender, No retreat.

It cant be sexist if its true..

God also sent a son (a man) to teach the world..

And then there is also FATHER Abraham..

Not that I am solely of Christian belief..

And you are not alone in that.. I watched my 3 year old daughter sobbing at the fact that her mother told her that her boyfriend is now her dad and she has to refer to him in that way. To watch my little girl so confused and upset was utterly heartbreaking, and indescribably infuriating. All I could say is that 'I will always be your Dad..And you will always be my baby girl..'

ive had 5 very happy days/nights a fortnight shared residence with my daughter for the last 5 years, i used school and homelife to explain to her the concept of privacy and her mum took it out of context and used it as an excuse to stop contact, hoping to have the c79 form in by friday.... 🙁

It appears you and I are very much in the same boat.. I have just submitted those forms last week and am in the midst of calling the court to check on the progress..

I have my daughter 2 of every 3 weekends on rotation sat morning to sun evening. However, 2 weeks ago her mother decided to change her mind regarding my additional holiday contact and wanted me to return my daughter the sunday evening when it was already 7:30 pm and she was getting ready for her bath and to put her jammies on ready for bed. I refused and told her I will be dropping her off at the agreed time the next morning, and thats what I did.. The following friday night her mother sent an email saying that i have not stuck to the contact order therefore there will be no further contact..

This is apparently all a game to her and i have not seen my daughter going on 3 weeks now. I have however just been to her nursery and spoken with her teacher and the head teacher to arrange me going in early tomorrow and spending time with my daughter before the school begins. They have confirmed that will be fine, so I will be seeing her tomorrow morning even if it is just for half an hour.

Where there is a will there is a way..

Hi Danjamw
It is interesting to note that the nursery will let you do that.
Is it a state nursery or privately run?

When my son asked about seeing his child at the nursery a while ago they refused point blank...
mind you, contact has since been established and going well, but I find your approach interesting.

Take care
Kirsten

Hi Kirsten.

It is a state school which my daughter attends. First they wanted to see the Contact Order and my childs birth certificate as her mother had left out my details completely to the school (no surprise there), but I then sat with the teacher and discussed the situation, I then contacted the head teacher and sat down with her too to discuss the situation. She asked me if i could give her a days notice before coming to the school then she could arrange it. I think it may have been so she could let my daughters mum know of my attendance. Im just happy the outcome was 'yes, you can come and see her'. The teachers have already witnessed my daughter and I together when I visited on her second day and my daughter ran and jumped into my arms. They stated it was very visible how much my daughter cares for me, as in some cases the children do not want to see the 'other' parent.

What is more intriguing is that it turns out that my daughters teacher is the wife of my daughters mums solicitor. As you can expect since this revelation as appeared, he is no longer her solicitor.

Im just happy I have found a way to see my daughter, even if it is only for a short period of time until I receive notice from the courts regarding the enforcement order.

Hi Danjamw

Ah, that explains it then. Thank you. Yes, state schools/ nurseries have slightly different approaches to this situation.
Great that they will facilitate a meeting with your daughter, it might be short in time but better than nothing at all.

Take care
Kirsten
