[Solved] End of Mediation

Hey Everybody

Thought I would give you an update on my situation.

I have terminated 2nd mediation on grounds of breakdown of agreement. I have not had much choice. Getting bullied everytime I do not agree and now to the point of if I don't look at my ex a certain way I can only see My lad for 2 supervised hours a fortnight. and supervised by her until she is happy with the way I look at her, So I rang mediation and spoke to them (being as useful as they are) they did not tell me what to do but gave me the court route scenario and no other then you can try mediation. I just said but we tried that and now she broke it. So what will mediation do? no response.

So long story short. Rang me lovely ex and told her. Then the treats came out. Do that you wont see your son till court decide, pat tests, usual stuff from what I can gather on here. Then when I said ok I don't want a fight. Then get accused of not fighting for my son.

So I am waiting for C1 form. I still dont want to go down this route. But I am getting bullied and mentally abused beyond anything I thought possible. I cannot do this for the next xx years. It is not fair on me and not fair on my lad. Never knowing what is happening.

You never know she might grow up and talk like a civil adult and actually treat me like a human being never mind a parent. I am still hoping because court worries me and I just want to see my lad in a routine

So I am now trying to figure out what form to fill out to keep my mind busy. I am not even sure what I am applying for! any help literature or supportive is much appriciated. My problem is I am hurting and the way the fees work I am best appling for everything in one go then separatly? how does that work.

Im swimming but god theres a strong undercurrent. But still I will swim and keep swimming for my son.

Any helps guys. please would be so appriciated

...it's a shame mediation didnt work for you, court isn't easy but sometimes there's no other option.?.sometimes the court experience is enough to make some mothers start towing the line...when they realise how seriously their ex takes their duty as a father...lets hope that's the case with yours!

The mediator will have to sign off the C100 form so that you can apply for a Child Arrangements Order for contact. If you are not named on the birth certificate you will also need form C1 to apply for Parental Responsibility.

If you are on a low income or benefits them you may be entitled to an exemption from the court fee which is normally £215. The form that you would need to apply for an exemption with is EX160a.

Have a read through the stickys at the top of the legal eagle section, there's lots of info there about the court process and self representing. It might also help you to attend a Families Need Fathers meeting in your area, you will get advice and support from others in a similar situation. Here's a link to the webpage where you will find details of meetings in your area

www.fnf.org.uk/help-and-support-2/local-branch-meetings

...and of course we will help and support you through this as much as we can.
