Goner....it does indeed to appear to be very easy.
"Life" just announced one day he was going to quit, got the pills and that
was that....
Both my husband and I smoke...alas outside as we don't want the grandchildren
to come to a smoke filled house...and they day will come when I will take the pills myself.
I had anticipated bad moods, cravings etc from my son....but nothing, he was his usual self.
And...not to forget, hitting crisis point with his ex, going to court and more, which would make you
and me light one after another....

Slim....well done to you for kicking the weed...I take my hat off to you
I didn't realise it took so long for the stuff to get out of the system though.

Take care
Kirsten

Goner??? 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 is that a prediction if I don't give up.....

How you feeling off them life? I've read a few horror stories and it kinds put me off, they say not to take them if you have a history of depression? I've only had post natal depression so I'm not sure they'd be for me?
Defo need to give up though, did a year cold turkey in 2011 and it's didn't bother me once, even whilst I had a drink. Started again a year later when I moved house!
Completely forgot about the champix, thanks for te reminder, might go see the doc this week!

Haha at Gooner being a Goner

Mojo - that was a fairly heavy spam attack!

@ Crocs - I tried the Champix, I don't suffer too much with depression but did post-natally and I felt awful on them, had to stop 2 weeks in unfortunately.....

Great that they've worked for you though, Life 🙂

If it helps,

Apparently i'm classed as a depressive, I'm on anti depressants. Champion haven't affected them and I still feel great.

However, we are all different. Give them a go and see 🙂

I felt back to normal quite quickly after stopping them, so if they don't work for you, the effects don't last too long.

Life, I'm surprised they let you have them as the doc refused my friend due to her being on anti depressants.

Having said that, I've heard more success stories than reactions like mine, I react to everything anyway, I took roaccutane for a skin condition and that carries a similar warning to champix and it affected me

Well,

I think the fact that i was talking to the nurse during a blood test, She didn't really ask many questions. I was then sent to a no smoking specialist, but I don't recall them asking either.

But, I'm pleased so far. 🙂

Just seen advert on TV for Stoptober sounds good, can set target and put in place support over next few weeks to start stopping

Do it, Let me know how you get on.... I've been OFF the tablets for about a week or so now and Im still feeling great. No side effects no cravings nothing.

The best bit is that I've just hit 3 months and I tell you, the difference in everything is amazing (Including the weight gain "sadly")

Good luck with it, if you want to know more I'm here!
