Hi people!
I intend to lose fat for good but need some help. I have began a cardio/weight lifting gym routine recently. I hope to sort my diet out and begin to eat clean. Apart from chocolate and crisps what products should i NOT eat when trying to lose fat?
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Alcohol?
Actually, anything is OK in moderation - but then I would say that being a moderator 😀
i've just got myself a slow cooker and been doing a few winter veg stews....lean meats and no potatoes lots of veg.....its a great winter warmer and a good bowl full keeps me from raiding the cupboards.
i've cut out the snacking i used to find myself doing through boredom by making myself do more when i get in from work in an evening instead of just grabbing a cuppa and flicking throug the channels.
the multi-gym i bought the other week is being used 5nights out of 7 now....only light weights but plenty of reps. i've also just agreed to do a Mountain bike marathon in July with a few work mates.....47miles across the Shropshire hillsides......at 41 (42this year) i must be mad! lol....i've always biked but in the last 3yrs i've had more time on my hands so i've been enjoying mountain biking quite a bit.
so hopefully between the weights and the biking i can shift a few extra pounds and get a lot fitter by the summer....maybe even attract a nice female along the way if i'm lucky 😆
i've been chatting with a mate who's in to his healthy foods....plenty of veg and lean cuts of meat he reckons....exercise etc.... all in moderation as they say.
haha! That made me giggle. yeah alcohol is major NO NO for me! 🙂
WOW! sounds good! I'm hoping to cut the snacks out too. I'm sure you'll do well in your routine and will attract a lot of females 😉 Good luck and thanks for the tips!
The best way to loose weight is to keep a track of what your eating. I have over the last 18 months lost over 3 stone - I used a phone app called My fitness pal. You basically log everything you eat or drink and the exercise (both cardio and strength training) . It was really easy to use. It scans the bar code of the food and basically tells you the calories your consuming etc.
Would highly recommend it (and its free).

Not sure if I agree with this - I know exactly what I'm eating and I'm not losing any weight 😆
😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
That wasn't exactly what I meant
😀
I think the day is approaching when I can no longer put off the fact that I need to do something about it - the 2 day restricted calorie intake looks good to me. Horizon did a program on it, and there's a book called "Eat, Fast and Live Longer" - if it wasn't for that damned comma, it would be perfect. 😆
😆 😆 😆
A work colleague at the DAD office has been he 2 day restricted calorie intake diet and has done very well on it (keeping pace with my weight loss).

WOW sounds brilliant! I think I need to control what I eat and monitor the results!
Thanks guys
