Hello Dads,
Have written the Witness Statement ahead of my Final Hearing next month and will be submitting tomorrow..
As I understand it, have to send one to the ex's solicitor (I don't have one) and another to the court.
My barrister said this can be done by email - but who exactly (as in job role at the court) do I send it to??
Also, what is the process now? The ex has until the end of the month to file her own Witness Statement, but seems a bit unfair she will of had eyes on mine first to know exactly how to respond..
And then what happens? We go through another few rounds of informal (and ineffectual) negotiations over email before landing at the Final Hearing?
We tried mediation already prior to the FHDRA (she immediately reneged on the contact arrangements made in the first session) so can't imagine that we will be going down that road again.
Thanks!
Hi,
Can you check your court papers, it will usually mention a deadline date for you to submit your statement. If your barrister has it, can check with him.
As for emailing court, you can simply google the family court that is dealing with your case, e.g. if your court papers mentions manchester family court at top of page, google and you should see list of email addresses for that court (private/public law cases etc) and would have to email one that deals with private law/c100 applications.
