[Solved] Withdrawal of C100

Hi I applied for a C100 early November and received a date 3 weeks later for early January. As expected my son's mother caved in straight away and gave me what I wanted and we signed a parental agreement. After that I wrote to the family court straight away to withdraw my application. Two weeks later I had heard nothing so phone them up and they said they had no record of receiving it so I had to send an email whilst on the phone to confirm they had received it. The lady printed it off and took it straight round to listings. That was 2 weeks ago so fast forward to today I have still heard nothing so I rang them up to be told the judge wants to attend to consider the withdrawal. It seems like a massive waste of time on both of our parts as it's not a particularly complicated case and everything has been resolved. Is there anyway to avoid us having to both travel an hour just to tell them we do not want to continue.

HI There,
.
I don't really know if I'm honest, I would say that it may be worth you traveling and taking the agreement you already have, if the judge looks over it there is a good chance that they may write it into an official child arrangement order which I think would have a better standing if there were ever any issues in the future.

The same happened to me when I took my ex back to court then tried to cancel the application, The thing is the courts have to give you permission to withdraw your application daft as it seems, I'd go and get them to rubber stamp your parental agreement so it's set in stone, I've seen a few people do this agreeing out of court then the dad starts getting messed about again down the line, it's always nice to have an agreement put into stone I'm so pleased I did it sort of makes the ex think twice about been uncooperative again in the future.
