Spurgeons and Dad.Info doesn’t investigate reports of abuse or neglect. But below, you can find advice on who to contact if you have concerns about a child or young person.
Reporting a concern
It can be difficult to know what to do if you think a child is at risk. It’s important to remember that if you’ve spotted things that don’t seem right, others will have too. Speaking up can make sure that child gets help as soon as possible.
The sooner you contact your local children’s social care duty team, the quicker they can act. They’re available 24 hours a day, and can make an anonymous report if that feels safer. If a child is in immediate danger, please call the police straight away by dialling 999.

Hi just a quick question.
I had my directions hearing at Easter and my ex did not have representation.
She handed in paperwork and what I think is her statement on the day of court.
Se has seen my statement and evidence I haven't seen hers.
I have emailed the courts and all I received was an email she sent them before direction hearing asking for the court date to be extended as she is seeking legal aid for a solicitor. Court must of said no as the date never changed.
So my thoughts now are if she now has sorted a solicitor out will I receive a letter from them to introduce themselves? so I am aware?
Also why haven't the court sent me here evidence and statement? Will this be posted?
hi,
yes usually if someone hires a solicitor, they would email other party with a 'notice of acting' message, to let them know that other party is being represented by lawyer. whoever does court bundle, your exs statements should be in it.
how did directions hearing go?
Thanks for the reply.
Thought they may reach out of she did have one.
Direction hearing went well. I wanted to push for a section 7 and got it as i have shown evidence of how she is influencing daughter to not want to see me any more and parent alientation has been going on for years. She did her self no favours when she walked into court and told them our daughter has asked for caffcass to intervene and to ask the court on her behalf. Court told her straight you should not be discussing court to your young child. Thanks for asking
As her defence is now my behavior is a concern towards my daughter. I haven't seen her statements or proof which is why I want to see what angle she is coming at.
What does who ever does court bundle mean?
