I think that's probably the best course of action for the moment, you could contact one of the labs that does the tests and see how they assess and report on such drugs.

I gave up a 20 year cannabis addiction as I knew It would be used against me in court, it is by far the hardest thing I have ever done.

Hi all,

Ok so time for an update.

Have been to court just over 8 weeks ago. Just a directions hearing.

Steroid use was not an issue. CAFCASS were instructed to visit the house and nothing was of any concern. All they asked was that I locked my medications away (which I now do).

I managed to obtain a Witness Statement from an court registered expert witness in steroid cases and this was accepted by the court. All well and good.

I have sat down with CAFCASS for a meeting and it went really well. Not as frightening as I thought it might be. I answered everything honestly and the lady said it was refreshing for someone to be as open and honest as me. Whether this harms me in the long run, I don't know. But I have to be true to my convictions and stand by the fact that I was a great Dad to my boys for 10 years and divorcing their Mother does not make me a bad Father.

I'm now in court on the 4th August for a hearing. How many hearings we have to go through is anyone's guess but I'll see what happens and report back.

Just a few things really:

1) In the court waiting room, my ex and her solicitor agreed to pay towards the cost of supervised access. In an email a couple of days later, this was rescinded and I was told I needed to pay for supervised access (the only way I could see my kids).

2) The solicitor informed me that there was no set up fee for the centre; there was.

3) I have not paid for the centre; I have kept the money aside as I believe my children will benefit in the long run from seeing me in a properly structured Access agreement and will benefit more from the costs saved simply for one or two 1 hour visits which was all I was being offered.

4) My phone calls; the ex refuses to change the time despite my working hours becoming longer and more demanding. I have kept in touch with my boys but am only allowed 15 mins once per week between them both. I still send parcels and pocket money to them.

So fingers crossed something happens at this next hearing... does anyone know what happens at this stage?

Thanks for the update - a lot sounds positive, and I certainly think Cafcass should report positively. Being honest with them always helps and it's certainly not done you any harm.

I'm not sure of the procedure next, hopefully others more up to date can comment on that, but hopefully you'll get a good result - good luck for Tuesday.
