Hi Guys,
I haven't posted for a while as most of the posts seem to get really good responses that I can't really add too but I'm pleased to say that over two years since my final hearing and nearly a year since my last little hiccup at court things are going great with my 3 nearly 4 year old.
I still have her every weekend every week from friday until sunday and am really enjoying our time together, I'd much rather have it this way as I can still be a father on my own terms and I get to spend real quality time with my girl.
Things are ok with mum we still have a few little disagreements every now and then but I've sort of learned how to pick my battles and compromise has played it's part a few times I've learned quite a bit of patience too lol
The only bugbear at the moment is the fact that I would like to take my girl abroad with me but mum point blank refuses to let me take her. I go to a certain island in the balearics which I love and have been over there over 20 times now to dj on my own or with a friend so I know the place like the back of my hand.
Mum keeps saying she's scared if our girl gets kidnapped ect ect and keeps saying if our girl goes she has to come with her sister which I don't think is fair as our girl would really benefit from going abroad and on a plane ect it breaks my heart when my girl say "but I want to come on holiday with you daddy"
We've been all over together all over the UK which has been ace but it would be so nice to take her away for 5-6 days.
I was wondering how I can broach the subject again without getting mums back up I've been mentioning it over the past year or so.
any advice guys?
many thanks in advance

Hi Slim!
It would be mediation and an application for a Specific Issue Order with form C100.
Try speaking to her again, could you get her sister to back you? If she won't budge then tell her that you will start the process with mediation, but if agreement isn't reached you will apply to court... her experience in court is that you will get a fair hearing and an order will most likely be made in your favour... with any luck she'll back down. π
Hi There,
.
I agree with Mojo, talk to her again, and as said say that you don't want to have to go the official route but you will if needed.
.
Talk about all of the issues you have had and how awful court was and that you really want to avoid it if possible, but it's something that you really want your daughter to experience.
.
GTTS
off the wall suggestion, but you could suggest she wears a Tile mate bluetooth tracker or something similar - that way you are alerted if she goes out of range and is trackable.
Excellent that's brilliant I think I will work on mum until next year when I defo want to take her away I'm sure If i mention court she will know I'm serious.
I meant mum said I couldnt take our girl on her own I'd have to take mum and our daughters sister but to be honest I wouldnt want to go away all together.
that about the tracker is a brilliant idea.
Seeing as I have her every weekend like I do she stays with mum during the holidays and she takes them away for a week in summer and our girl doesnt get to spend a prolonged time with me alone.
I hate it when I show little one all my pictures and she says I want to go daddy.
Many thanks for the advice π
