Hi there

I've put both of your posts under one thread as they are about the same subject.

I can only imagine the distress and heartache experienced by you and your daughter all those years ago, thank goodness she had the presence of mind to make those recordings and seek help,at school.

I fully understand why you would want to get some justice for what happened, but it might not be that simple. if you want redress from Social Services the only way that I can think of would be to go and see your MP, if you can get them involved they do have the power to escalate it to the Parliamentary Omsbudsman, although what can be done so long after the event, I'm not sure of.

It might also be possible to pursue a criminal convinction against her mother for the physical and manual abuse your daughter suffered, the police would the ones to speak to in that instance, but again whether they will act is another matter.

Perhaps the most effective option would be to get some counselling for your daughter and yourself to help you deal with the u resolved issues you have....sometimes it's better to try and heal the wounds that are left rather than leave them open.

I wish you and your daughter all the best.
