[Solved] TIME BEING DICTATED BY MOTHER.

My time spent with my son is being dictated by his mother. What is the best and least most expensive way of getting this to stop. She will never agree to more time as it may reduce the CSA payments that I pay her. My son is now 6 years old and I have had enough its time to make the required changes.

Hi there

I've moved your thread out of the Welcome section and into the Legal Eagle section, your query is more relevant here and should get more responses, it's the busiest section on the Forum.

You are required to attend mediation as a first step before an application to court can be made. Here's a link to the mediation service

www.nfm.org.uk

If mediation fails, or she refuses to attend then the mediator will sign the C100 form to allow an application to court for a Child Arrangements Order for regular contact. The court fee for submitting the form is £215, but if you are on a low wage or in receipt of benefits you can apply for an exemption from the fee. To do this you would need form EX160a.

Best of luck

There's lots of information about the process in the stickys at the top of the Legal Eagle section. Many dads here chose to represent themselves to save on cost, solicitors fees can reach into the thousands.
