Guys,
Those of us on the forum who don't have access or contact either currently of for the foreseeable future:-
What things do you do either as a coping mechanism or for the day when access is restored or when your son/daughter comes knocking?
For example I've read some record video diaries, audio recordings of news they couldn't share at the time, written diaries, letters, an email address that you send to to build up over time?
I'm thinking this thread may help others to go some way in filling that void? There must be some great ideas in this fabulous forum adn I'm sure there are some hugely creative ideas. I myself wanted my child's teacher each year to write in Dr Seuss's book 'Oh the places you'll go' to give on their 18th birthday. Sadly contact being stopped & school's being changed & now unknown have changed that so I'm thinking perhaps I'll write in it each time I visit a place sort of a book of recommendations for the places they could go?
I also play guitar and intended to record some videos of me performing just for my child.
So guys (& gals) share what you do to cope or prepare for re-introduction of contact and who knows maybe you'll inspire someone to do the same?
What a lovely post, thank you for sharing. My heart goes out to you and your children.
