I gave up a 20 year cannabis habit nearly 5 months ago as I knew that it would get brought up in court which it did.
At the directions hearing a month ago I was ordered to get a letter from my doctor to prove I went to him for help in giving up Cannabis which I have obtained and sent to the court.
I also thought they asked me to do a cannabis hair strand test which they didn't they only asked for a quote for a test so I sent a quote in as requested.
Like a [censored] I went and had the cannabis test done and its just come back NEGATIVE!!! Woo! Hoo!
I'm absolutely over the moon as I've been smoking it that long I thought it would register something but it hasn't I'm well chuffed.
I was wondering how I should go about writing a letter to the courts saying I've done the test and it's come back negative, any ideas anyone?
That's great news and well done!
I would send a copy of the results to the court, with a covering letter stating that as the subject of drug use had been raised and cost quotes asked for, that you wanted to take a proactive role in showing the court that you no longer use cannabis and so went ahead with the test. You could also mention that you are also hoping that having the test will minimise the delay in awarding contact, which you would like to be addressed at the next hearing. Whilst you're at it you could also mention the successful completion of the SPIPs course and enrolment in other parenting courses.
Send a copies to CAFCASS and the other side too.
Thanks man I'm over the moon can't believe I've managed to kick a 20 year habit, I still battle the cravings and it's been hard whist all this court business has been going on.
I've already sent in my spips certificate of attendance and a little letter saying how beneficial it was but I will mention the parenting classes too.
Many thanks
