[Solved] Telling the truth in court, or rather telling lies

If someone tells lies in the statements that they've filed or in court, or to cafcass, or the evidence they supply is contradictory, and the judge sees their credibility to be compromised, what is likely to happen?
Is this different between an applicant/respondent and a third party witness?

Well it could affect the outcome of the case, but they wouldn't be dragged away in chains screaming 🙂

People are usually only cross-examined under oath at fully contested final hearings.

The point of statements of evidence for example are for both parties to present their evidence to court.

if you can prove there are inconsistencies, then i believe you could call that they are an unreliable witness?
