Hi There,
.
There is no certain answer to this, but in theory, if you have something like a pull out sofa bed for yourself in the living room and then used your room for your children then there would be no reason for them not to allow over nights.
.
I would cover all angles and talk about ensuring clean bedding was used before they arrived as well as just saying that they would use your room, I know this would go without saying, but it just saves any questions around them using your bed and hygiene, you could even say you would buy some girly bedding for them to use.

According to shelter, children count as half-people as far as overcrowding is concerned so there should be no problem with just having a one bedroom flat. You might want to confirm this with shelter - their site is here.. https://england.shelter.org.uk/get_advice
You may also want to confirm with your landlord - I know the council and housing associations will try to say that you can't have two children in a one bedroom flat as it violates their overcrowding policies. I'm not sure exactly where you stand legally but if you're going to private rent and your landlord is ok with it then it shouldn't be a problem.
