Have had a break from this situation as if I don't the lines begin to blur, as outside from this I lead a busy & positive life.

Just want you guys to know that I appreciate your help sincerely it means alot from the bottom of my heart.

I'm 2 weeks away now from standing in court, pretty nerve racking stuff. I've got half way through the Lucy Reed book, puts me at ease slightly. These 2 weeks I will be building strength to make sure im on my wits in this process.

Still haven't wrote to the solicitor but have spoke with the welfare officer at the school and it sounds as though im in for a slightly bumpy ride as alot of things have been twisted while ive been out of the frame and I now look like abit of a terrible person. Hopefully this will be a different scenario when we are in the court.

Time for me to get studying

It's good to step back and recharge and something that we recommend to help get a better perspective.

I've responded to your PM.

Hi - sounds like Mojo is giving you support at the min.

Just remember, keep it simple for now. The level of contact you are seeking, is relatively bog-standard, and while your ex can make all the allegations she likes - the truth usually outs in the end and an order will be made.

Hopefully the court can get her to agree to move forward, and we are all here to support you if you need it.

Good luck

Thank you.

Where should I start preparing? In the Lucy Reed book she mentions 'evidence' alot and cross examining witnesses. I'm not sure this would apply to my case would it? or am I just waiting on the directions hearing to find out

You haven't reached that point in the proceedings yet, cross examination and filing evidence comes later. Just prepare a brief 2 page position statement to take with you for the first hearing.

The directions hearing is exactly that, the court can order further reports, ask the parties for statements, even order mediation.

All the best

Don't start worrying about cross examination or evidence yet. As Mojo says and I have said previously, for now, focus on preparing a brief 2 page Position Statement and the court will advise the next steps at the FHDRA

Good luck
