Soi had my call with cafcass last week and the ex has been at it again saying i have mental health issues and im not capable of looking after my son....even though i live with my other 3 children full time, 1 of which is disabled

cafcass noted that on my police record i was accused of some serious things 5 years ago but it states no further action taken....should i be worried they will bring that up?

I think it would depend on what they were and whether the court wants to put any weight behind them.

Regarding your mental health, perhaps you can get a letter from your GP to clarify on this and you can ask permission from the court to file it as evidence?

Personally I would go with a GP letter as they will give a general overview.....up to you though.....when court's ask for medical evidence, it's usually a GP letter. It's not essential, just thought it might be useful to provide it without being asked and not cause any delays. You will have to seek permission to file it with court though.

Good advice from Yoda. If the ex plays the mental health card (very popular) and this happened to me they could ask for a gp letter. If you turn up armed with it before the hearing and file it with the courts it's another box already ticked and if I done my time again I'd be more prepared for to counter the allegations if they were to come up.

Best of luck.
