Hi,
Legal question here-can i share a section 7 report with my sons school family worker, or would that facilitate a contempt of court charge? My directions hearing following section 7 report is approaching and i do not want to make any mistakes. However, communicating section 7 report with the school family worker is very relevant as she has been involved in sons care, and would benefit from seeing it.
Thanks
Hi, no you can't share the section 7. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in family proceedings and you can only let others view details if the court has expressly permitted it.
Thank you for the advice Yoda, as always much appreciated.
I would certainly ask at the next hearing whether you can be allowed to share it, or at least relevant parts. Explain to the court why you think it's necessary, and possibly prepare a one or two page summary that you'd like to show the worker to see if the court will approve that.
Thank you for the feedback actd
