Hi Guys,
Need your support as I am worried now.
Basically I have been domestically abused by my ex and we are going through divorce. We have a 18month old baby. She has threatened to jump out of a window twice with my daughter.
At the first hearing, I was awarded interim sole custody and my ex has 3 contact days per week.
she tried to downplay my parenting ability and I was concerned about her mental well-being which ultimately leads to my daughter being abused.
The social worker praised my ability and had no concerns (for either parents ability) but my ex is adamant that I am a bad father.
Anyways CAFCASS provided a biased report and slated me. But said no parent is better/worse for our daughter and recommended a section 7 and for the courts to give shared custody! Which is annoying!
anyways my next hearing (FHDRA) is at the end of March. I feel like my ex will throw false accusation to try and get full custody through the section 7 report.
any help?! I really don’t want my daughter to stay with ex until she is mentally checked out. She will get shared care within a month.
kind regards
Hi,
So section 7 has not been carried out yet? If so then soon cafcass will have an interview with you. Most likely over the phone. then you can tell them all the concerns you have with your ex, re mental health etc.
Some tips here:

Similarly worried myself about CAFCASS missing the deadline for my S7 report.
Due back in court in the first week of April, with the S7 being due in 2 weeks. However, i was only allocated a case worker last week who is yet to contact me and arrange interviews etc. I have not seen my little girl since December 2021, pretty serious allegations were made which have been disproven in a fact finding. My daughter will also have been the victim of emotional abuse in the form of being told things about me which are now proven to be false, so i was hopeful that this report would be done in time, and illustrate the emotional harm that has been placed on her thus paving the way for contact with myself moving to equal residency.
However CAFCASS are dragging their heels, and despite me calling them every week for the past 4 weeks out of concern i am always paid lip service about it being done in time. To summarise my concerns are
1. It won't be done in time, and once again i will be waiting even longer to see my daughter
2. They will rush the report and it won't adequately illustrate the harm my daughter has been placed under.
