My ex doesnt give me any information on how the kids are doing at school (reports parent teacher meeting etc)or let me know when they are in plays etc. Can i call the school and ask for the information to be sent to me directly?
Hi there,
You can contact the school and ask them to keep you informed of anywhere anything going on at school, most school now use txt and emails to keep in touch.
The school will have to contact your ex though to get her permission as they can't just give you details without knowing 100% that's it's okay to do so.

Hi
I got a template letter from my solicitor to send to my son's school .It states under the education act 1996, biological parents and those with parental responsibility are within there rights to recieve the same information as the mother.I now recieve a news letter every week and am informed of parents evenings , anything where parental consent is required and any concerns regarding my son. My ex was not asked for her consent but different schools may ask. if you need a copy of this letter pm me and i will send it over .
Thanks for your reply, I would be very grateful for the template as communication with my ex is difficult. my email address is dan.bloomfield@btinternet.com
Thanks in advance
Daniel
