You can email it to the court and call them
To tell them you’ve sent one and to make it available to the judge / magistrate .
Technically you need to ask for permission to file . I found this out when I tried to hand mine to the usher / legal adviser on the morn and the 1st hearing they wouldn’t take it . The other ones they would . 99/100 it’s standard and fine to just hand in when you arrive but I’d email it too so they have a chance to read it before the day

thanks citydad. i emailed court and asked if they can show statement to judge.

cafcass working over-time lol. they rang me saturday morning, about court hearing on tuesday. sounded reasonable and seems like I have their full backing. she said if i email her my position statement, cafcass officer will see it before the hearing.

Hopefully you’ll
Have the same cafcass officer at court . The lady that did my phone interview was Nice , the guy present at court was more interested in arguing Semantics and trying it on with my barrister . Was toe curling ...
For my
Other hearings there was no issue giving position statements on the day , its standard stuff .
Make
Sure you take multiple copies , for the other side , some for the magistrate etc etc

hi,

back from court. lol. lol and lol.

there was no cafcass officer at hearing, though they did say someone will be there. although a safeguarding letter just dropped into my lap from court receptionist.

main reason i went back was i was not allowed to spend more than 1 hour every other weekend with baby daughter. out of goodness of her heart, she gave a little more, 2 hours and half. every other weekend, whereas i asked for 5 hours in interim. still lousy but atleast i get to take her home for short time.

they did section 7 on me last year. they decided to do it again lol, even though last report stated no safeguarding issues. silly petty issues. so in interim they ignored most of what i asked for, what dads usually ask, half of school holidays, extra nights etc. if they want to do 3 rounds, so be it. this time im not hiring lawyers, while ex is paying out of her pocket this time.

was very annoying. soon as i walked in and took a seat, one woman was just staring at me, stern and dirty look. pretty much did that throughout whole hearing, although she didn't even speak. like in total, 6 people in panel in front of me. magistrates if im correct. seemed quite useless, as all they did was wait for ex's barrister to tell them what to do.

main judge woman came across as rude. she listened to all petty stuff from ex's barrister, lies. but when it came to my turn to speak she only said i can respond to some of the allegations, and many times just cut me off. guess i should be happy there was one male in the room with them, although he didn't speak.

hi,

so had my DRA hearing today. was expecting it to go to a final hearing.
the big surprise was that the judges decided to make this a final hearing. they said as theres no major disputes, theres no need for final hearing. they basically said i have to pick up kids from school, to avoid issues at mothers address. they gave into mothers irrational stuff, like not wanting me to have more than 3 nights with kids. so during school holidays i am to pick up kids friday morning, return monday evening. i asked if i could have extra nights. they said they expect both of us to be flexible and allow this in future.

i used to spend 3-4 hours with kids on wednesday every other week after school. that got converted into an overnight. i re-shuffled it so it can be mon-tue every other week and drop kids to school., space it out and help with my working arrangements. mum threw in after school activity. judge said thats ok, as long as afternoon activity doesnt go past 6pm. during school hols i am to return kids tuesday evening.

was very messy. they were reading cafcass section 7 report and trying to figure out what some sections meant. i said why not call in the cafcass officer for next hearing, but they said they don't need to. nights during holidays was biggest issue. i am meant to get 7 nights it this year, but they pushed it to next summer.
