Hello!

When my Ex and I first seperated she moved in with her parents, she has now moved somewhere else and is refusing to tell me where she has moved with my little girl.

Legally, does she need to inform me where she has moved to?

Cheers

Tom

Hi and welcome πŸ™‚

From what you say, you still have a line of communication open with your ex. It might be an idea to get in contact with her and ask her again to allow you to have contact with your child. If she still refuses then you could tell her that you have no choice but to apply to the courts for a Seek and Find Order under section 33 of the Family Law Act1989. Dont present it in a threatening way but try to come across as a Dad that takes his responsibilities seriously and recognizes the importance of being in his childs life. Its not about you or your ex but about what is in the best interests of your little girl and having both parents in her life is whats best for her.

If this is the course of action you need to take you will need to apply with Form C4, and also the Form C100 Contact Order.

Perhaps you could invite her to attend Mediation before initiating court action, it might be worth trying and it might facilitate contact.

Good luck with it all and do let us know how you get on πŸ™‚
