Has anyone successfully obtained copies of documents from a Court file (when you are one of the parties to the case).
I requested these as part of a complaint and this was ignored by the local court. HMCTS Customer Investigations team said I should be able to obtain them from the Court.
Do I go into the Court offices and ask - can they say no
or is there a form or someway to apply?
I strongly suspect they have destroyed documents that record their error.
As far as I am aware, you are able to ask for documents relating to your own case. There may be a small fee for this. I'd give the court a ring and ask them what you need to do - I'm guessing there is a form you can download and fill in to request this.
