Hi can anyone please help.
I had the fact finding and findings were made against me. As a result the court have recommended but not ordered I attend DAPP. I am not willing to admit I am an abuser despite the court making findings based on probability.
Has anyone ever refused to attend DAPP and what were the consequences?
Hi
Assume that this is as a result of you applying for a child arrangements order? If so, unless you do the DAPP neither Cafcass nor the court (who take directions/guidance from Cafcass) will allow/authorise/recommend that you see child/children at all.. Therefore this will only now be possible if the mother consents which considering you are in court and have findings against you is probably unlikely..
No other consequences, its not recorded against you anywhere so will not impact employment, dbs, insurance, etc..
