Hi Mick I'm Sarah Child Maintenance Options consultant. Maintenance and contact aren't linked in law. Therefore, difficulties over one shouldn't disrupt arrangements for the other. The best people to speak to about contact issues is the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Cafcass). You can call them on 0844 353 3350 or visit their website http://www.cafcass.gov.uk/default.aspx

If need some more information about where you stand legally, it might be worth contacting Community Legal Advice. Their helpline number is 0845 345 4345.

Any concerns you have with your payments you'll need to speak to the Child Support Agency (CSA) directly. You can find contact details on any letter the CSA have sent to you. Or, you can find the right number here: https://www2.dwp.gov.uk/csa/v2/en/contact/index.asp

For more information about maintenance and access to useful tools and forms online you can visit www.cmoptions.org, or if you'd prefer a confidential chat you could call the Child Maintenance Options team on 0800 988 0988 (free from a landline).
