[Solved] question about solicitors code of conduct

Hi
I am asking as the Applicant so
I want to ask, if a solicitor is instructed to act for the Respondent in relation to proceedings

Is the solicitor legally obliged to give me notice of acting and also inform me of the application for legal aid for their client

I know that in my original child arrangements order i did get a letter stating notice of acting and a copy of the legal aid certificate /its ref number

But is it a legal requirement for the solicitor to inform me?

My ex had a solicitor at my enforcment hearing which i was not aware of and the solicitor also approached the bench and had the paper stamped which i believe is for legal aid funding.

Should they have notified me

I am asking becuase i want to make representations against the issue of the legal aid certificate

thanks

Not sure about this, it might be worth contacting the Citizens Advice Bureau to see if they can answer this,
