Hi All
I am thinking of getting a psychological report as almost inevitability I will be asked to get one as the mother is accusing me of being controlling and have Physiological problems and Mental Health Issues.
My questions are:
1) Is it a good idea to get it done before hand given that it will save time in me seeing my children sooner?
2) If I do get the report done, is it a good chance the other side can request one which CAFCASS has approved?
3) What do I need to look out for for "CAFCASS Approved reports?"
4) Can anyone recommend any good sites to search for this?
Thanks in advance
Hi
In my experience, courts don't like being presented with evidence they haven't requested or approved the source of. I would hold off until you know what the court are going to say. Psychological reports are not something that are often ordered, quite often, a letter from your GP will be requested and suffice.
I agree about holding off - if you get your own report, it's also giving the court the impression that maybe there is something in her allegations.
