A Prohibited Steps Order------- is an Order that no step that could be taken by a parent in meeting his or her Parental Responsibility for a child, shall be taken by any person without the consent of the Court. This Order deals with specific problems which have arisen. ! An important restrictions on a Prohibited Steps Order is that it can relate only to matters which are included within Parental Responsibility (see factsheet on Parental Responsibility)
For some reason you do not have daddy rights but can talk to the mother or other relative???? unless there is a non mol attached
what does the order say???
Yes you can appeal but need a c2 court form
hope others can help
Have you received the proper paperwork from the court now?
If the case is still open, you can as leydan says, submit form C2 to apply to add a further application to existing proceedings, which would be an application for a Child Arrangements Order.
If the case has been closed (which I doubt) , you would need to submit form C100 to make an application to see your child, with an injunction/PSO against you it will be more difficult but not impossible and they should allow supervised contact, whilst various reports are made about safeguarding.
As has been said to you before, without more detail of your case, it's very difficult to give you the proper advice. It might help yo if you attend a Families Need Fathers meeting in your area, here's a link to their website where you'll find details of meetings nationally.
www.fnf.org.uk/help-and-support-2/local-branch-meetings
You'll be able to speak to,someone directly about your problems and get some one to one advice. If this isn't possible you could try contacting the Citizens Advice Bureau and making an appointment to go and talk to them about your situation. Some offices have a list of McKenzie Friends that may be able to help you.
Also some courts have a Personal Suport Unit that is there to help and support people that don't have a solicitor, ask about this at the court that you attend.
All the best
