Hi dads,
The judge has ordered a section 7 report to be done by CAFCASS.
I did have 7 nights, but the judge turned that into 4 nights for me and 3 for ex.
I want to know… how can I best prepare for the section 7 investigation?
shall I do courses? Kit my house out with loving photos of me and daughter etc….
also what happens in the section 7 investigation? I want to be best prepared.
thank you in advance 🙂
hi,
Cafcass will likely have phone interview with you for S7 report. sometimes they ask parent to go to their office for interview, or they may do home visit. suggest that you bring up any concerns you have, and also what arrangements your seeking for children. If you would like to take kids on holiday abroad, should raise that with them. They may ask you to respond to some allegations from your ex.
I recommend you get a parenting plan from Cafcass site. complete it and mention to them during your interview: https://www.cafcass.gov.uk/grown-ups/parents-and-carers/divorce-and-separation/parenting-together/parenting-plan/
the recommendations they make in report are very important. Hopefully it goes in your favour.
