As far as I am aware PR isn't that difficult to get as long as your ex isn't saying the child isn't yours, if she is then you would need a DNA test to prove that the child is yours.

Did you make an application for PR at the start? If so it will be dealt with at some point during the proceedings.
I understand that PR might seem like a very important issue, the court will usually grant it once they have agreed that unsupervised contact should happen. The best thing to do is to ask about it at the next hearing.
