Hi All,
I am due to go off on Paternity leave very soon but I am worried about taking additional time after my 2 weeks. My holiday pay at work is based on 12 weeks average earnings and I have been told that my Paternity pay will count towards this. This means that if I need to take more time off if my Wife needs a section for example my holiday pay will be reduced from what it would be normally. Can you give me some advice because I see this as getting penalised for having kids which as far as I understand it they aren't allowed to do and the paternity pay should be over and above everything and not included in the average earnings.
Cheers
I'd have a word with the Citizens Advice Bureau on this
