I'm currently applying for Parental responsibility and a "child arrangement order" for my Daughter and I'm also applying for a Contact/child arrangement order for her Sister who's not mine.
I've been granted leave to apply for both girls after a fierce battle in court so I'm thinking of pushing my luck and applying for Parental responsibility for my Daughters sister too as I would like both girls to be on an equal footing and It fills be with dread that my Daughters sister will feel left out.
Now her father who disowned her as a Baby because she was born with a disability and who has never bothered with her has Parental responsibility so I was wondering if I could get PR too?
I've virtually brought her up as my own and I really do push her to the max to combat her disability and I think my influence helps her leaps and bounds but because my ex her mother doesn't really bother with her she hates me trying to help her improve her situation she excludes me from everything to do with her medically.
I think you should go for it and hats off to you! You can get PR for a non biological child if you can show you have been important in her life. I believe she calls you daddy and you have cared for her as your own. Your dedication to both girls is a credit to you....if you were my son I would be so proud of you!
Awwww........thanks that means a lot my own Mum was saying earlier how proud of me she is π
I thought as I fought like a dog to prove I've been there for her yesterday and the court granting leave (I still haven't a clue what that means). I took a long look at both her parents stood in front me and thought I can't let them two wastes of space bring her up, on her own admission her mum has been drunk the whole of her life and has hated the Girl most of her life too and the useless father disowned her and keeps showing up letting her down all the time.
Everyone kept saying how complicated the case was yesterday I don't think there's any harm in complicating it more all this is going to take for ever anyway π
Do you think I will have to pay another Β£215 or could I attach it to this application?
I think you would need form C2 to add another application to existing proceedings. The court office can clarify this. I'm not sure if you will have to pay again.
...Β£90 seems familiar!
Excellent I'm going down the court tomorrow I'm sure they will sort me out I've got a feeling that everyone secretly likes me down there π
I can't wait for the next hearing I really enjoyed it yesterday my part time job really helped as standing up in front of a few Judges is nothing to rocking a 5000 capacity club π

You were right NJ after an hour in the family court office I managed to tell them what I was asking and in the end they gave me a C2 form to fill out and I pay Β£90 tomorrow when I hand it in.
I've just been round 3 solicitors and hammered there free advice and they all said they think I will have got parental responsibility for my daughter after Monday so we shall see when I get the court papers back I'm going to use them for advice as and when needed and maybe get represented when things progress they all said fair play and it sounds like I know what I'm on with and they all said go and see them after the section 7 report comes in but until then carry on what I'm doing π
I think I'm going to try and chill about everything now I've got the drug test in hand, the docs letter sorted and I'll see cafcass about this spips course, I'm handing the PR application for my step daughter tomorrow and I'm going to concentrate on this observation next, I've bought both girls a pretty little toy box each which I'm going to take with me to the contact centre when I get some access so that gives them a bit of ownership I was wondering what toys I could take for my daughter who will be 7 months and her sister is nearly 6 I wanted to buy educational toys for each and something for all of us to play with any ideas?
Hi Slim,
My daughter is nearly 2 now but around 8-12 months she loved these things TOMY Play to Learn Hide 'n' Squeak Eggs I got them from amazon as at that age they are still bit young for most things bit these were fun , she also adored stacking toys one I remember is Melissa & Doug Rainbow Stacker think I got at the same time,
for the 6 year old my other daughter is that age she pretty much into everything try to find something that if your 7 month got hold of it wouldn't be a chocking hazard or anything I know you know this but the amount of times I needed to rush play mobile stuff away !
yes chill out a bit you sound like you have been non stop since the hearing ... just been brought anchor man 2 so intend to watch that tonight and forget about the witches statement :cheer:
Excellent, many thanks Eric I can't wait to go shopping π
Yeah man It's time to get back on it with the dj'ing and photography I've had a wicked night tonight been down to my mates launch of a hip hop night which went really well, I took my camera down and took some awesome shots it was nice to chill out and have a drink I've also bagged a set at the next one so alls good.
I'm spinning the House music this sat and sun and I'm looking forward to a long weekend, I've pretty much worked everyday this year so it's about time I had a break.
I was supposed to be flying out to America this weekend as I've got allsorts of events and parties kicking off out there but all my money is going into seeing the Girls so I'm going to get myself a few gigs in the uk to keep me busy I can't wait to get away again though It really weird not planning a hardcore trip djing overseas I've played all over the world in the past 6 years its been a dream come true but seeing my girls is more important π
