I'm just wondering if anyone had been successful with a complaint against Cafcass through the Ombudsman. I have already had one complaint through Cafcass itself which was turned down. The officer I complained about basically lied and has done so not only to me but her boss and the court as well.

I am therefore going to take the matter further.

You will most likely find that they will come out with..... "the case worker followed the cafcass operating framework" and "they followed procedures and guidelines" etc...etc... and that if you don't agree with what they have written in their report you are free to challenge this in court in front of the judge as the report is their opinion based on their observations and interviews with all parties involved.

As Mojo says....good luck

Oh and if you do get the result you want please share with us how you managed it because in my experience with them they'll not find anything wrong in their system!

I don't want to go into too much detail just yet but the Cafcass Guardian has been removed from my case and another is to be appointed after I put 'an observation' in my statement for my final hearing.

Needless to say that the three days we had booked in for it have been cut to two and the final hearing will have to be moved to a future date.

I only got the one in my case removed due to the judge ordering cafcass to remove her and put someone more qualified in high conflict case in her place. it was only because I pointed out that there were failings in her report to speak with various parties that had been previously involved that the judge agreed with me that they were glaringly obvious failings in the report.
problem is that took me nearly two years and by which time the damage (alienation) had been done enough to make it unlikely i'll see my child turn in to an adult.
