Spurgeons and Dad.Info doesn’t investigate reports of abuse or neglect. But below, you can find advice on who to contact if you have concerns about a child or young person.

Reporting a concern

It can be difficult to know what to do if you think a child is at risk. It’s important to remember that if you’ve spotted things that don’t seem right, others will have too. Speaking up can make sure that child gets help as soon as possible.

The sooner you contact your local children’s social care duty team, the quicker they can act. They’re available 24 hours a day, and can make an anonymous report if that feels safer. If a child is in immediate danger, please call the police straight away by dialling 999.

So my ex wife has served with a non Molestion order and we have to attend court. She has signed the paper over 6 weeks ago and didn't send it to court because we was getting on really I have all messages etc backing it up that we have been talking we even spoke on the phone today she has said Its harrassment but we have been fine talking even going up to see my 18 months son but she has sent it because I failed to pay maintenance because I wasn't at work. What's the chances of the judge throwing this out of court? Granted I said some horrible things when we split up but we have been getting on fine until 2 weeks ago but she still happily texts me and talks on the phone.

Any advice would be great. Thanks

Hi, if you have evidence she freely contacts you, then judge may dismiss the non mol.
