Just got section 7 report totally favours my ex having my son back reports states that she's turned herself around in four months how can this be my question is will the judge now favour this report as I think this is totally wrong after my son not been with her for 9 months now I am the one that they are recommending contact order what can I do about this totally bias report how is this in the best interest of my sons welfare
...I'm so sorry to hear this. Unfortunately the judges do take notice of the reports, although the judge should also consider that your son is happy and settled where he is....it's a difficult one to call, but the report has made your situation more difficult.
You could call the social worker and ask her why her report doesn't take into account the fact that he is happy and settled where he is, which must be due to the care he receives. Also the fact that nine months in his short life is an awful long time and to remove him would have a detrimental effect on him, he has formed a close bond with you and his grandparents and is happy in nursery. If there has been no mention of this in the report then I would say its one sided. Talk to your solicitor about how you might challenge this in court.
