My wife has asked me to leave family home and not sure if I should leave or how this will effect things as we have three school aged children and do not know what I am expected to pay her as I am not on a great wage and we have a joint mortgage.
Hi There,
Sorry to hear of whats happened, was this expected?
You would be expected to pay a percentage of your wage as child maintenance, if you search CSA calculator in google and have a pay slip handy you can work this out by entering your wage, number of children ect this should then show you what is expected by CSA for you to pay you can use this a guide to sort this your self.
You would be legally liable to continue to cover half the mortgage until such time that you are removed from it.
I wouldn't like to say if moving out before this is sorted would be better or not, is this 100% the end? could relate/counciling help to resolve the problems?
