Hello iam now to the dad info forum I have been separated from my children's mother for 7 years now and it has always been a challenge dealing with there mother but over the past year thing have gotten worse the children's behaviour had gotten worse there has been time when they ha e come dirty to the point t I now put clean clothes in my car when I'm picking them up. I pay maintenance when I work I also pay for there clubs 2 a week and have them every weekend and sleep over every fortnight I'm struggling now and feel at my Witsend as no matter what I do the problems persist I have abuse through at me in the street every time I pick them up I k ow she publicly slanders me over social media I have contacted mediation witch she has refused and I have also gotten to the point of contact in social services for help witch basically came to nothing I need help drastically.
Hi and welcome to the forum
I've moved your post to the Legal Eagle section which is our busiest topic.
As she has refused mediation - you can get a mediator to stamp a court form for you and you could apply for a Child Arrangements Order to formalise agreements. Part of your application could be how handovers are conducted. You need a C100 form to make the application.
You could also speak to the police on 101 and log the abuse / harassment.
Considering what you've told us about your ex, either route you take could possibly exacerbate the situation on a temporary basis, so please be prepared for that.
Try to keep any communication with your ex to email or text so that you have a log of incidents and it's possibly worth having your phone on 'record' when you do these handovers.
Please keep posting and we will do what we can to assist.
Best of luck
You need to start no contact with your ex. She sounds toxic. Don't reply to any calls texts or emails if you can.try to arrange taking you kids with them if they are old enough. If abuse continues from your ex see a solicitor about harassment. Unless you do this and stand up to her life will get worse.
A solicitor might not be a viable option and they can't do anything enforceable anyway.
Logging with the police on 101 is a much better way forward in most situations like this.
